Hello! I am Shannon the Minister here at Addingham Methodist Church. 

I am privileged to serve a church that is made up of a friendly community of people striving to increase our village’s awareness of God’s presence and to celebrate God’s love. We do that in a variety of ways such as in worship , outreach, house groups, a prayer group, seasonal Bible studies, social gatherings and ecumenical services and activities.  

Our church also has a wonderful relationship with Addingham Primary School. We enjoy the opportunities of participating in assemblies there as well as welcoming year groups into our church for seasonal festivals. 

I am passionate about spiritual formation which focuses on people of all ages growing in the Christian faith. It doesn’t matter what age we are, God in Christ invites us to enter into and to deepen a personal relationship with him. Entering into a relationship with Christ isn’t the end of our journey . . . it’s only the beginning! 

And there are a multitude of ways we can live out the faith we have in response to the love we have received from God. Being aware of God’s presence in our lives and being willing to serve the Light that lives within us can bring such joy and purpose. Accompanying people on this journey brings me much joy and happiness. 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, taking walks in the beautiful countryside and moors, meeting friends for coffee, and reading novels.
